[NTG-context] Purpose(s) of texmfstart

2006-08-16 Thread John R. Culleton
I have read a great deal about the details of texmfstart. I still
don't have a handle on what its purpose is. Did anyone write a
manual on the program or create a comprehensive wiki entry?

BTW I solved my problem with texmfstart and with upgrading
Context in general by creating the separate, standalone minimal
Context-Linux installation as described in an earlier post, which
pointed to a long wiki, which fortunately I could take and use as
a script.

I love easy questions:

Hmm. It seems to be a solution to problems I have not yet
encountered. So I will proceed with just plain texexec
unless/until someone says texmfstart is required for some reason.

Thanks as always for a prompt and useful reply.
