It didn't work.
After starting, an cmd window opened and I got 2 error messages:
Update failed Error code: 1
Make failed Error code:1
So I keep my present version.

I think the GUI installer is writing in the register and this could
interfere with the normal MikTeX/(La)TeX/TeXnicCenter system.
If I understood well when I was at EuroTeX.
I'll have another look.
