What is the difference between this method and the
 \startstandardmakeup
 \stopstandardmakeup

 method?

standardmakeup produce a special page without and headers and footers.

It has by default no pagenumber (could be changed) and is used normally
only for title pages, you could change the parameters with
\setupmakeup and it is always only one single page.

[NTG-context] Header unwanted on first page

2007-12-01 Thread Jean Magnan de Bornier
Hi all,
I can't seem to see something which is certainly obvious!
I have this in my setups:
\setupheadertexts [section]
\setupheader [style=\ss\xii]
\setuphead[section][style=bold]

I don't want the header to appear on the first page, I tried various
solutions but failed so far.
Thanks for any good hint!

Hi Jean,

this is only possble if you start every section on a new page, you can
do this with the following setup

\setuphead[section][page=yes,header=empty]

I use:

\noheaderandfooterlines
\setupheadertexts[text][XX][YY]

Thanks!
\noheaderandfooterlines does exactly the job!

I see it's in the texshow-web but without any explanation...
