what is last ... maybe no fundamental new features in mkii, but fixes
and small extensions for sure (keep in mind that many things are shared
since they dont depend in lua at all)

given that we already/will have
mkiv + luatex ?
that will indeed be the case
also, i will completely rewrite some bits and pieces (sectioning for
instance)
however, there is the case of xetex ... that's mostly mkii code so
eventually mkii may end up as the version for xetex and mkiv as the one
for luatex
