[NTG-context] TABLE: Problem with column widths

2016-07-22 Thread Lukáš Procházka

Hello,

I'd like to typeset a very simple natural table:

- table width to be "maximum of the current scope" (typically \textwidth)
(option = stretch)
- 1st column to have width of 1 in,
- 2nd column to have (maximum) remaining width (typically \textwidth - 1 in)

Let's have two (almost identical) TABLEs - the only difference is that the
latter inputs zapf whilst the former doesn't:

%\showframe
\starttext
  Table 1:

  \bTABLE[option=stretch]
\setupTABLE[column][1][width=1in]
\bTR
  \bTD Col1 \eTD
  \bTD
%\input zapf % !!!
  \eTD
\eTR
\bTR \bTD Col1 \eTD \bTD abc \eTD \eTR
  \eTABLE

  \blank

  Table 2:

  \bTABLE[option=stretch]
\setupTABLE[column][1][width=1in]
\bTR
  \bTD Col1 \eTD
  \bTD
\input zapf
  \eTD
\eTR
\bTR \bTD Col1 \eTD \bTD abc \eTD \eTR
  \eTABLE
\stoptext

What's wrong with the Table 1? Its first column should have width of 1 in!?

Best regards,

Lukas

[NTG-context] Table problem with ConTeXT 2005.11.16

2005-11-17 Thread The Wizard
All -
Just downloaded and installed 2005.11.16, and now a document
which built fine under the 2005.10.27 version breaks. The code
which fails is a simple table

\starttext

\placetable[here]{none}

The errors I get from texexec look like this

floatblocks : 1 placed

?

Anyone got any ideas?

you didn't regenerate the format (you load the latest cont-new on top of
an old format)

texexec --make --all

(depending on the age of your system ... locate the cont-en.(e)fmt file
and delete it first)

[NTG-context] TaBlE problem

2004-09-06 Thread Nikolai Weibull
This table is a bit messed up:

\starttext
\starttable[|r|c|c|]
\HL
\NC \bf State \VL\TWO{\bf Input Symbol} \NC\AR
\DC \DL[2] \DR
\NC \VL 0 \VL 1\NC\AR
\HL
\NC $s_0$ \VL $s_1$ \VL $s_0$\NC\AR
\NC $s_1$ \VL $s_0$ \VL $s_1$\NC\AR
\HL
\stoptable
\stoptext

Why aren't the columns for 0 and 1 of equal width?
Is there a better way than to set the template to [|r|c(3em)|c(3em)|]?
