Thanks for the tips, Hans and Peter. I can see that it is really easy to hack a quick and dirty working solution. But since many of my figures and my gnuplot input will have to be created by external programs anyway, I think I will better use a Makefile to ensure recreation as needed. Greetings,

Hi, I wonder what would be the best way to use programs inline like it is possible for metapost. Are there already macros to set this up easily? I would like to use gnuplot, so something like [start|stop]GNUPLOTgraphic would be fine. Has anybody tried this or something similar? -- Eckhart
