sure, but only if you also tell me how i can tell rsync to avoid deleting the
context/user and context/third paths (and tested as well -)

(there is now also ctxtools --update which just takes the zip)

2006-06-03 Thread Peter Münster
Hello Hans,
could you please add the option --delete to @@rsync in texsync.rb?

I've just realised, that cont-lmt.zip no more exists, but texsync never
deleted it on my hard-disk.

Cheers, Peter

Is there anywhere else that I can find a 64bit version of ConTeXt? The
linux .zip is 32bit only.

Is the newest version available through texsync? I performed:

ruby /data/tex/texmf-local/scripts/context/ruby/texsync.rb --force
--update --tree=tex --destination=/data/tex/
ruby /data/tex/texmf-local/scripts/context/ruby/texsync.rb --force
--update --tree=linux-64 --destination=/data/tex/
ruby /data/tex/texmf-local/scripts/context/ruby/texsync.rb --force
--update --tree=doc --destination=/data/tex/doc/
texexec --make --all

But /data/tex/texmf-local/tex/context/base/context.tex contains
\def\contextversion{2005.03.16}

I installed tex using texlive2004, and it created a

I wonder if the following command would do
the job wihout harm:

texsync --full --update --force
--destination=/usr/local/texlive2004
locate the local tree
  kpsewhich --expand-var=$TEXMFLOCAL
and sycn (or unzip) the files to that location
btw, if you rsync the whole tree, you will get a minimal context tree, i.e. a
subset of texlive, and that can best be installed outside the texlive tree

[NTG-context] texsync

2005-02-01 Thread Matthew Huggett
Hi,

A question about the texsync script:

running
   ruby -S texsync.rb --force --list

gives me
   TeXSync |
TeXSync | fetching list of trees from 'www.pragma-ade.com'
rsync: failed to connect to www.pragma-ade.com:
Connection refused (111)
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at
 /home/lapo/packaging/tmp/rsync-2.6.3/clientserver.c(94)
   TeXSync | available trees:
   TeXSync |
   TeXSync |

I've read the texsync manual but I'm not sure what else I have to do
with rsync to get a connection to Pragma-ade. I'm running rsync under
Cygwin on WinXP.

I'd be grateful for any pointers.

regards,

Matt
