Hello,
In the ConTeXt manuales there is a reference to \definesomething as a
way to create new commands(?)/variables(?). The truth is that I
haven't bee able to truly understand if this is a generic example or I
can define my own commands with this and how the syntax would be used.
I would

Yes.
Have a look at showfonts.pdf for examples of how to use the common tex

Hello,
I am curious about what does everyone around here uses for typesetting
Math? Currently I know more LaTeX than anything else for that, but
from what I gather to use ConTeXt in full extent I should typeset
things directly in TeX or use MathML.
So far I've been some LaTeX-like stuff and it

Hi,
I would like to setup the footnotes so that the footnote in the

in sans serif, to avoid some confusion with exponents.
So far what I have tried, does not seem to work. In setupfoonotes,

Hello,
I am using Palatino to typeset my document and it involves a fair use
of maths typesetting, and seems Palatino is incomplete for some of it.
I've read about the MathPazo LaTeX package and about previous
discussions about it in this list, but nothing conclusive.
Anything anyone would

That must be some heavy maths if Palatino out of the box can't do it. It
makes use of the pxfonts set for math which is very complete, including
everything the amsfonts contain and more besides. Certainly more complete
than MathPazo IIRC.
Hello,
In my layout settings I have the following:
\setupcaptions[ headstyle=\ss\bf,style=\tfx ]
\setupcombinations[ style={\tfx\em} ]
Hoping that the captions in the figures and in the combinations would
have the same size, but they don't. Any ideas why this might be?
Thanks,
Pepe
