Re: [NTG-context] ARIAL and hebrew

Thank you Arthur for your reply,

Looking at your result it is indeed ok. On my laptop (MacOS) and my brother’s
(Ubuntu), the described problem occurs. -- I thought already, it is related to
the font itself. I tried in the meantime Liberation-Regular-Sans which gives
the right result.

Thank you for your input!

Willi

  Example, please :-)

  The following, adapted from
https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Arabic_and_Hebrew#Hebrew,
works well from me:

 cut before
\starttext

\definedfont[name:arial*hebrew]
Hello, World!

\setupalign[r2l]
וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ.  וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לָאוֹר יוֹם, וְלַחֹשֶׁךְ קָרָא לָיְלָה;

[NTG-context] ARIAL and hebrew

2019-03-03 Thread Willi Egger
Good evening!

I have a little project for preparing a vocabulary for an Ivrith student. — The
text should be typeset with Arial. However, when I try to use it I get the
vowel points between the glyphs instead of thereunder. — So my question is,
does anybody have experience with the use of Arial for typesetting Hebrew?

Kinde regards

Willi
