Try setting the “method” to full precision”. I have also heard that doing that
help with speed as the full precision is threaded better. If that makes sense.

Just a thought,
Have you tried using the save nuke script from Mocha instead of the copy to
clipboard option. Mocha will save a out a .nk that you can then import into
Nuke with import Script. Hope this helps.

Throw a Shuffle before your paint node. Set the alpha to 1. This might help.
if you are using input1 or above also throw in a shuffle alpha set to 1.
