STMaps definitely should be more bulletproof too - Smart Vector was working awesome, then caused issues when pushed, using multiple nodes in a comp. On 10 August 2016 at 16:02, Michael Garrett wrote: > Right. That makes sense doesn't it, and it's something I had

Right. That makes sense doesn't it, and it's something I had considered, as it does some crazy matrix lookup to calculate the reference frame on the fly. I actually naively thought I may be able to get around the issue by baking out an stmap. Well, I'll try snipping up the input into smaller

Smart Vector has always worked but only used on < 250 frame IIRC. On 9 August 2016 at 06:44, Michael Garrett wrote: > I'm getting an error when using VectorDistort with pre-rendered smart > vectors, stating "reference frame is outside the valid frame range", when > it

there is also a inrange() expression which is handy in those cases. On 10/08/16 11:13 AM, Darren Coombes wrote: Great! Worked! Thanks Howard. You always seem to have the answer. :-) Made a small change by swapping 1:0 to 0:1 at end. Here’s final result.. Feel free to use obviously.. Just a

[Nuke-users] Curve expression

2016-08-09 Thread Darren Coombes
Say I’ve got a noOp set up with two integer knobs so you can enter a frame range.. and my desired frame range is setup as so.. in frame: 26 out frame: 35 Then I want to add a multiply node to turn on at frame 26 and turn off at 36 so it’s acting like a switch to only view footage at that time.

[Nuke-users] Export shots with EDL

2016-08-09 Thread Charles Bedwell
Am I missing a trick with Nuke Studio. I want to do something that on paper sounds pretty simple. I want to export VFX shots from the VFX track, with an EDL so they can be easily conformed elsewhere. 1st problem is that if you 'process as shots' you cannot export an EDL. So export those out
