Re: [Nut-upsuser] Cyberpower model numbers in the HCL

2017-11-13 Thread Christoph Lampl
Hey,

I had the CP1500EPFCLCD running for a few months. It was recognized accordingly
using usbhid-driver. It was a good ups :)

Cheers,
Chris

Betreff: [Nut-upsuser] Cyberpower model numbers in the HCL

Anyone familiar with Cyberpower's model numbers?

I finally got sick of my Tripplite's USB port going south, all the time, so I'm
looking to replace it.

The HCL has an entry for a Cyberpower model CP1500AVRLCD. Not listed is the
CP1500PFCLCD model, a newer, premium version of the unit; but the HCL does have
an entry for the CP1000PFCLCD model.

Pretty sure that the CP1500PFCLCD will work; but figure I ask if anyone knows
for sure.

I copied and pasted the wrong URL - the CP1500PFCLCD (non-E) model is here as
well:

http://new.networkupstools.org/ddl/Cyber_Power_Systems/CP1500PFCLCD.html

Given the frequency with which UPS vendors redesign the innards of the smaller
models, let us know whether or not the CP1500PFCLCD works. A positive result is
still useful to know that things haven't changed much since previous reports.

I saw you got the answers you asked for.

But I just wanted to chime in, saying that I was in a similar situation
as you.

I have a TrippLite Omni1500LCDT which I was attempting to use. I ran
into similar USB problems with the TrippLite.

I documented my experiences with the TrippLite in this thread:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2017-May/010655.html

And my experinces with the CyberPower in this thread:

The CyberPower UPS that I'm using now has worked flawlessly. It was
tested "in production" with the big storm that blew through the
Northeast US a week or so ago.

(The TrippLite is now doing duty on my home entertainment center where
all it has to do is be a UPS. It does that OK.)

fwiw...

We have a bit of a backlog of HCL/DDL entries that haven't been pushed to
the main website, including this one:

http://new.networkupstools.org/ddl/Cyber_Power_Systems/CP1000PFCLCD.html

This one is already on the stable list:

http://networkupstools.org/ddl/Cyber_Power_Systems/CP1000PFCLCD.html

The one that I'm looking at is the CP1500PFCLCD

Also, for others who might stumble across this, we have not yet seen any
software differences between the PFCLCD and EPFCLCD (European) variants.

Well, in that case:

http://buildbot.networkupstools.org/~buildbot/docker-debian-
jessie/docs/latest//ddl/Cyber_Power_Systems/CP1500EPFCLCD.html

So, you have the entry for the CP1500EPFCLCD already. I'll grab the
CP1500PFCLCD model, and hope for the best.
