Hi all,
While I have nothing new to add, and all these birds have been reported
already, I thought this coming fact was worth noting. For a birder visiting
Staten Island, the following birds can be seen rather easily in well under a
single day:
Summer Tanager (Clove Lakes Park)
Red-headed
This morning 12-10-09 8-10:30am while on our weekly bird survey of
Hempstead Lake State Park, parking field 3, we had an Orange-crowned
Warbler along the stream near where it empties into South Pond. Had
good looks as it flitted around for a few minutes. Nice color on the
underside of this bird.
This is a summary of the Birdline reports for the week ending December 9, 2009.
Report your sightings in the Hudson-Mohawk Region to birdl...@hmbc.net.
Forty-three species were reported this week. The most interesting were:
ICELAND GULL: Coxsackie Boat Launch 12/8 (3), 12/9 (3).
