I saw the BLUE GROSBEAK again this evening at the SYS facility along Major's
Path in Southampton (Suffolk Co.). The only thing I would like to mention
about the directions is that the signpost on the road for the facility is
called something like "Andreassi Way" and not Elkgrove. Also this evening
Once again we are Asking New York birders to look for wing tagged Great

Any observations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Angus/All,
I am planning to do a "highlights" of my late spring/early summer sightings
- late due to grieving over a close loss in June - this report will include
Henslow's Sparrows sightings.
I took clients from California to see Henslow's Sparrows in St. Lawrence

I led a trip to Sharon Springs in 2010 for the Queens County Bird
Club Inc., and we were unsuccessful in finding Henslow's [ though I
had seen the bird there in 2007.] I spoke with some of the

This morning I received a call from Ken McDermott informing me he had located
the Juvenile White Ibis found by Rob Stone yesterday. I went right down and
together with Carol Weiss and Scott Baldinger was able to view the bird. It is
very difficult to see while on the ground, but twice while I
Bulletin board postings are naturally slanted to positive news and don't do
such a good job recording disappearances, either of particular individuals
(is the Hooded Crow still being seen?) or of populations. The recent
discovery of two Henslow's Sparrows in a field near Ames (Montgomery Co.)
