As Rob Bate reported yesterday, he and I were fortunate to find the Pink-footed
Goose in Middletown in a shopping center parking lot near the site where it was
originally discovered. I was able to get a handful of digi-binned photos before
the goose took off. For those interested the photos can

I had no luck relocating the pink-footed goose today despite investing five
hours meticulously searching every potentially suitable grassy area
multiple times within a several mile radius of where the goose had
originally been found/refound. I managed to find ~50 Canadas on the local
fairgrounds s
Coastal Brooklyn saw an impressive movement of diurnal migrants this morning.
The below numbers are a composite of diurnal migrant passerines I observed
while birding several locations (Coney Island Creek Park, Coney Island Pier,
Six Diamonds ballfields, and Calvert Vaux Park, mostly) from 8:20
