[nysbirds-l] Fire Island Ocean birds

I drove to Smith Point Park( Suffolk County Long Island) today to renew my permit to drive on the beach this year so as to do a little surf fishing and birding ( the Ocean is beautiful along the beach) but they did not have these 2012 permits ready yet, so last year's permits were still good.
