Scanning the sound from Orchard Beach, highlights were 4 Razorbill, 1 each of
Surf Scoter and Long-tailed Duck and 36 Common Goldeneye.

Spent a pleasant afternoon in Central Park Saturday. Highlight of the
day was White-Winged Crossbills high in the sweetgums just south of
the Humming Tombstone area in the Ramble. They were hard to identify,
being mixed with Goldfinches and quite high up, but I got at least one

We birded Caumsett State Park today as part of the Northern Nassau CBC.
Highlights of the day's birding was an American White Pelican seen in the late
afternoon flying east over Lloyd Harbor towards Huntington Bay. Perhaps this is
the same bird that was seen in early November at Lloyd Point by

The sub-adult ICELAND GULL was perched on the New York Post building across
the Bronx Kill seen from the northeast section of the island. It had an all
dark bill, dark eye, a light scaly pattern to the wings, the very light

Avenue.
I initially noticed the goose when it was slightly obscured by the larger
Canada's. Lighting was tough but Chase and I were able to get a good angle on
sun for some solid viewing. The bird had no leg bands

along the west side of Wellwood Avenue. There is a Barnacle Goose in the north

of Canada's so far.
No sign of the visiting Ohio birders who wanted intel on the BAGO.
