I am sure many of you tech-savvy, new-age birders have the BirdLog NA app
on your phone. I have the iPhone 4 and just updated the software to iOS
7.02. Well I must have done something wrong because my BirdLog NA app, did
not transfer over. I think I was supposed to back it up to my

Dear all,
I received a message this morning indicating that Jamaica Bay will not be
accessible to researchers due to the government shut down. I followed up with
Maria Coles at the refuge and found out that ALL Gateway sites will be closed
and therefore inaccessible.
This also includes the
Montezuma NWR has been CLOSED, due to the government shut down.
I presume this affects other National Wildlife Refuges in NYS as well.
Please notify of other birding sites that have been closed due to the shutdown.
