The ELEGANT TERN was first reported from the north end of Squaw Island today by Dominic Sherony and others around 9:00. I did not hear any other reports until Jay Powell texted that he had great views of it at 4:30 at the same location. I have posted a few more disgiscoped photos of the bird

The Paulagics pelagic trip out of Freeport, NY tomorrow is a GO, for anybody who was wondering (especially those traveling from farther afield). There are apparently a lot of fish in the New York Bight right now, so this should be a very interesting trip. There are several more spaces open
