We have scheduled a pelagic out of Freeport, NY aboard the 100' Starstream
VIII on Saturday, January 10. The trip is scheduled from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
and the cost is $185.
Target species include Dovekie, Atlantic Puffin, Razorbill, Common &
Thick-billed Murres, Northern Fulmar, Red Phalarope,

Lawrence Co.)
I found two Gray Jays at Sabattis Bog today and heard a calling Black-backed
Woodpecker. I hiked the Leonard Pond Trail (in the rain) to check for Red
Crossbills. I did not hear any, but I saw cones on
There is currently a female Eurasian Wigeon in Mill Pond, Montauk Hwy.
Sayville...north side of the road.This pond produces consistently most every
year.As an aside,while looking for ravens found earlier by D.Rogers(see his
post of 11/30-Patchogue water tower) I found a Peregrine Falcon perched

Route 93), about one half mile south of Rt 104, on the west side of the
road. We saw just one at first and stopped to check it out but it soon
