I recently got word of a possible Western Kingbird in the West Village,
Manhattan. The bird has apparently been in the area for over a month.
Upon reviewing photos, it appears to actually be a Couch's or Tropical Kingbird.
I haven't seen it yet, but here's the details & photo, courtesy of the pe
Pretty dead. At the model airplane field, just four Am. Tree Sparrows and a
Red tail.
At the nature center, just a bunch of House Sparrows and a Chickadee.
No owls to report.
On the cap, a couple more Red tails.
At the train station, a few gulls and a Common Merg.
At Mariandale, no close ducks
I have had not had a chance to work the entire flock of Geese but wanted to
share my observations thus far.
The previously reported 2 Snow Geese (SNGO) and at least 4 Cackling Geese
(CACG) were observed on the Parade Grounds at Van Cortlandt in the Bronx NY.

Barnacle Goose and 2 Greater White-fronted Geese now in Colonial Springs Golf
Course, viewed through the fence at the south side of Pinelawn Memorial Park.
This is near the entrance on the east side of Wellwood Av.
