This morning at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, while setting up the program I
was scheduled to give for the Eastern L.I. Audubon Society General Meeting
tonight, by just looking out the windows I got FOS Blue-gray Gnatcatcher &
Tree Swallow.
. Spurred on by seeing these two "old friends", in
The Bald Eagle nest only featured the incubating sub-adult. Two separate pair
of Osprey were observed (I believe there are nests to the north and south of
the Eagle nest). What was interesting was seeing 4 very large birds flying
together and landing in the marsh - turns out they were Great
We had a few new migrants at Wilson-Tuscarora State Park and nearby
Greenwood Cemetery this morning. There were several GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS,
BROWN CREEPERS, EASTERN PHOEBE, PURPLE FINCH, and YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKERS.

found a Laughing Gull on the Reservoir with the gull flock about 2 pm. The
Common Loon continued on the western side of the Reservoir, moving considerable
distances with each dive. Also on the Reservoir were several
2 flying above the North End at 3:30.

Warbler continues today at Valley Stream Park on Long Island. Sean says it
