A report was made on the Long Island wildlife Facebook page showing a painted
bunting at a feeder. Apparently the person who made the report lives in
military housing on fire island.

Found a Monk Parakeet nest with atleast 3 birds in the vicinity. As far as I
know this is the only nest away from the ones in Larchmont/New Rochelle area in
Westchester. The location is near the intersection of Sumner and Onandaga Aves.

There's a Cattle Egret right on route 27 on the grass (also on the sidewalk at
times) near the windmill in water mill. Cross street is Halsey Ln.
This is in Southampton (?) north of Mecox Bay in Suffolk County.
