Seven Golden Eagles were tallied by Steve Hall at the Franklin Mt. Hawkwatch, near Oneonta, NY, on northerly winds today, bringing the seasonal total to 15. Also counted were 14 Bald Eagles and 121 Red-tailed Hawks. With similar good conditions, Golden numbers will continue to climb to the

Jones Beach West End 23 Oct I met Joe Giunta this morning on a lovely sunny day. And, the migrants have finally arrived. Sparrows were everywhere along the roads. They were 8 species of the usual variety with the exception of the continuing LARK SPARROW on the shrub edge of the far turnaround
