It may be noted that multiple birders have continued to seek out the
recent rare warbler species documented in Central Park just in the
past week (Swainson's Warbler, and then a likely Hermit Warbler just 2
days later!) - and thus far, not even a rumor, much less actual
sighting, of either

I did a shorebird survey this morning at Big Egg Marsh in Queens starting just
after high tide around 6:55 AM.
I spent about 2 and 1/2 hours and recorded 11 species of shorebirds. The tide
was not as high as I would have liked and that meant birds were on the
peripheral of the marsh making

Just received word from Bob Anderson of an Upland Sandpiper in the swale at
West End 2 at Jones Beach Stste Park.

Had 1 briefly touch down and then fly out to the bay to the east.
2 White-crowned Sparrows singing at northwest corner of main lot are nice for
spring.
