I had a pair of Black Vultures over Rte. 22 and the intersection of Summerfield
Rd. in Eastchester. They were just above the trees so may have been circling
in on something tasty:-) Never had them for yard birds while living in
B'ville, got them for the town though:-)

On the Delaware River just above Sparrowbush, NY a couple of days beck, I
saw a waterfowl far off that I didn't pay too much mind to. An imm. Eagle
made a halfhearted pass over this waterfowl and it called.It was the call of
a common loon. It dove, but surfaced again, and was able to identify it

The previously reported Whimbrel was found a few minutes ago by Bill
Hanley. It continues on the sandspit by the West End 2 Coast Guard station
which is located at Jones Beach State Park.
