NYSbirds-L
I spent about 5 hours on the East Pond today, birding on a rising and falling
tides. Not a whole lot of Shorebirds but enough to keep things interesting. In
total 12 species of for me with 1 additional (Western Sandpiper) seen by Robert
Proniewych and Ed Becher who reported having multiple birds
I was at HLSP early this morning- highlights: female Redstarts, Black and
White Warblers (10), Blue Winged Warblers (3), Canada Warbler (1), Worm
Eating Warbler, and Yellow Bellied Flycatcher (1).

running including today, there has been a Wood Stork in the Salt Pond off
Fisherman's Trail at the end of Sandy Hook (in NJ), always a great place even
without such a northeast rarity. Still summer so there's a fee BU
The ibis was not reported to any listservs nor the local WhatsApp group,
and the ebird alert went out about 12 hours after the bird was seen.
Several of us searched for it this morning without success.
