On leaving Jones Beach west end (after great views of both King Eiders),
saw a rough-legged hawk hovering over Ocean Parkway about 1/2 mile east of
the X-Mas lights.about 2PM.

I just recently had a female Barrows Goldeneye in a flock of 60+ goldeneye off
of Oak Neck Beach in Bayville. Parts of the flock took off to the east and I
haven’t been able to relocated the Barrows in a brief search of the nearby
coast, though it is likely still nearby.

nearing full breeding plumage, seen briefly and we are now trying to
relocate.

There are two immature male King Eiders in Setauket Harbor. Shortly after
9:30 this morning, I spotted one, a very dark bird with contrasting white
