Anya Auerbach, Billy Kaselow, my father and I made the drive up to Buffalo today to chase the previously reported Slaty-backed Gull in Buffalo Harbor. After about two hours of scanning, we found the bird (my 600th!) on the spit opposite the concrete tower. It flew down the spit, giving us great
