An adult Ivory Gull was seen yesterday by several at Easton's Pond in
Middletown, Rhode Island, presumably the same bird that was present a few
miles east of there at the weekend. Meanwhile nearly 1000 miles to the
southwest, there is another adult on an inland lake in Georgia (yards from
the Alabama stateline). There have been a handful (7+) of adults and first
winter birds in Newfoundland this month where they are more typical but not
exceptional numbers.
