A New System For Learning and Identifying Warbler Vocalizations Last year, Tom Stephenson and Scott Whittle introduced the birding world to a new approach to warbler identification in *The Warbler Guide*. In this presentation, Tom will cover many new techniques that make it easier to identify singing warblers and other species. Based on a new system outlined in *The Warbler Guide*, Tom will explain and demonstrate how to understand a song's structure, the characteristics that make up the song, and how to use a song finder to quickly identify a singing warbler. *NOTE: This program will take place Wednesday evening at the Brooklyn Public Library, Central Branch, 10 Grand Army Plaza (718-230-2191)* http://www.brooklynbirdclub.org/meetings.htm -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
