Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City

A Louisiana Waterthrush first noted at The Pond (& within Hallett Sanctuary then) yesterday was again present in the same general area today, found very slightly to the north above Gapstow arch, a stone bridge that spans the north-northeast section of the Pond... this area is in the southeast corner of the park, and is just below the "downtown" skating rink of the park. Not a whole lot of other migrants in, but still a few Pine Warblers, a few Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, & other birds of the early spring, in various locations all around the park, but quite thinly distributed again.

A check of the reservoir earlier in the day revealed no new arrivals, & still some of the same lingering species as reported there yesterday. A couple of Great Egrets were again seen flying over the n. end, & at least one came across the reservoir early in the day.

good birding, and thanks to all the many getting reports out on various birds around N.Y.S.!
