Wed., 9/26 - On a very humid, ultimately warm summer-like day, a
Yellow-breasted CHAT was found at Strawberry Fields early in the morning; the
bird-walk group with the AMNH (American Museum of Natural History) leader were
able to see this as well. Modest numbers of migrants were all about the
Tuesday 10/3 early a.m. update; not surprisingly on NE/E winds, a good fresh
arrival of typical October migrants took place in Central Park, including more
of Yellow-rumped [Myrtle] Warblers & various other species. There seem still
to be a good diversity of many “August/Sept.” migrants about.
