I birded from 9 am until 1 pm mostly around the Ramble
Many flickers
1 White-throated Sparrow
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Female Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Common Grackles
1 Yellow-breasted Chat
1 Ovenbird
Northern Parula
Black and White
Chestnut-sided
American Redstarts
Northern Waterthrush
Magnolia
(Manhattan, N.Y. City)
To Joe G's CP listing, I'd briefly add that from the north end of the
park, another round of Yellow-shafted Flickers went through, with at
least 300 (twice the number counted a day earlier at the same early
a.m. hour just at and before sunrise) moving across the n.
Our NYC Audubon Wednesday morning birding group recorded 38 species. The
highlights were 10 warbler species (Parula, Magnolia, Cape May (2 in good
plumage), BT Blue, BT Green, Blackpoll, B, Redstart, Yellowthroat, Canada),
Philadelphia Vireo, 4 Woodpecker species including Yel-bellied
