On 8/19/10 I saw two DC Cormorants in a putrid looking large marsh across County Road 39 from Sipple's Farm at 1245 County Road 39 in Afton. It is not often that Cormorants are seen in southern tier counties and I wonder if these might be a first recording for the county. This marsh might be the result of high water from the Susquehanna River.
