Despite the cold rain and snow (and wind) there were some good birds on the
landfill flushed snipe and FOS meadowlark, kestrel and fly over osprey. Also
GHO seen by many and heard a Merlin was around but I did not see it. At home
feeders still at least 5 pine Siskin (will they make it to April?)
At ball field as you drive in to CPP this a.m. were horned lark (6), snow
bunting (4), pipit (3). I didn't see any of those species on the landfill
although surely they are up there. On landfill surprisingly 2 fem. RW blackbird
also several savannah sp. and a few tree; 2 harrier including grey
