"INDIA BIRDS" ZOOM PRESENTATION by Bob Dieterich and Peter Lopez
With 1/6 of the world’s population in an area 1/3 the size of the continental
US, India is a teeming sea of humanity, rich in history, culture, and somewhat
surprisingly, nature and wildlife. Stretching from the high Himalayas in the
north to the lush, tropical forests and lowlands in the south, India enjoys a
wealth of natural, and manmade, environments harboring an abundance of native
species.
Bob Dieterich and Peter Lopez spent a total of seven weeks in two separate
excursions touring the breadth of India in late 2015 to discover its cultural
and natural treasures. This program will attempt to encapsulate a mere sampling
of the riches encountered.
