Yesterday,April 16, after 4 PM as I drove East from Quogue, I saw 17 (!!!!)
Yellowlegs TOGETHER in a small pond on the bay side just east of Quogue,
in addition to several I saw along the ditches going east.
Going further east, last road to the right to the ocean ( with a gate),I
saw 5 Surf Scoters just over the surf and a flock of about 30 Black Scoters
flying East.
At Shinnecock Inlet, there were about 30 Common Eider in the ocean,200
yards out, also a red-throated loon and 3 Gannets.

There have been 20 Common Eider, East of Ponquogue Bridge,in the bay NEXT
TO THE SANDBAR, where I have been seeing them for the past week. Also
about 8 Oystercatchers in the bay.
