One Hudsonian Godwit was noted lingering in the Field 7 lot this morning.
There was also a small group of Snow Buntings, BB Plovers, Dunlin. A
resting Bonaparte's Gull amongst the usual suspects was nice.

One HUGO (The one with two working legs and no tumors) made an appearance at
field 7 about 20 minutes ago. It flushed when a peregrine flew by, but didn't
seem to go far. No golden plover or LBDO yet. But Pectoral, GRYE, Dunlin, and
BBPL.

I am currently with Sean Sime and we are looking at a Hudsonian Godwit in
mostly basic plumage at the north end of the East Pond at Jamaica Bay
Wildlife Refuge. It is with the Black-bellied Plover flock on the spit
adjacent to the island on the west side of the pond (just north of the
cove).

Really sorry for the late post but I left my phone at home. Bird landed on the
beach in with a flock of BB Plovers and Ruddy Turnstones. Almost entirely in
winter plumaged. First alerted to its presence because it was calling which I
have never heard before. It stayed there for about 10 seconds

At approximately 11:25AM, while standing on the south end of the East Pond, our
cell phone rang. It was Andrew Baksh, who was at The Raunt (wooden docks) on
the East Pond just north of us. Andrew informed us that the previously reported
Hudsonian Godwit had just flown in. We were able to go get
Bobby Kurtz and I just found a Hudsonian Godwit on the East Pond at Jamaica Bay
Wildlife Refuge. The bird could be seen from the south end, south of the raunt
along the eastern edge of the phragmities.

The Cupsogue Beach, Westhampton Dunes, Hudsonian Godwit was seen
today, 4:00-5:00PM, feeding along the closest sand spit, south and
east of the first island east of Moriches Inlet.
The bird was visible from the sandy road near the campground (west of
the parking lot), and from the shoreline,
Shane Blodgett just called to report that the Hudsonian Godwit is present again
this afternoon (Monday 12 July) on the big sandbar between Moriches Inlet and
the Cupsogue flats, Suffolk County, Long Island.

A breeding-plumaged Hudsonian Godwit was found at the Wallkill River NWR,
Orange Co. on Saturday evening by members of the Mearns Bird Club, including
Dennis Murphy.
It was found again on Sunday morning by Tom Burke, Gail Benson, and Andy
Guthrie.
The bird fed along a muddy berm trending north
Doug Gochfeld just called to report seeing a Hudsonian Godwit at Plum Beach
in Brooklyn. It is on the outer flats 1/2 to the East.

After birding on Dune Road late this afternoon we stopped at Pike's
Beach before heading home. Among the usual shorebirds on the west bar
at Pike's at 5:45PM was a moulting adult Hudsonian Godwit. We observed
the bird for about ten minutes when it flew off to the East.
