As you may have surmised from Shai's peculiar syntax in his earlier post, I had NOT yet finished my survey of the parking lots at Robert Moses-and that reports of multiple Lesser Black-backed Gulls get him a bit excited.
After completing my tour of Fields 2 and 5, not having seen any other birds of note, I returned to the original flock and found two additional juveniles and a one year old LBBG along with the original juv and the adult. Some of my photos are posted on Shai's picasa site, starting here: http://picasaweb.google.com/tixbirdz/LesserBlackBackedGullsOnLongIsland#5522 838519288790226 Patricia Lindsay Bay Shore, NY -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html 3) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
