There's a Hermit Thrush and a Common Yellowthroat in the plaza at 43rd and 6th behind the Grace Building. They've been there for some days.
At Bryant Park, the management has ripped up the lawn behind the library, I think to put in the skating rink. About 2pm, I saw only catbirds, sparrows (House and White-Throated) and pigeons there. In front of the library (Fifth Avenue side, that is), two Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers were having a territorial dispute in the trees on the north side, and an Ovenbird and a Common Yellowthroat popped out of the bushes briefly.
