The North Shore Audubon Society will be have its monthly program on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, from 7pm to 9pm, at the Manhasset Public Library, 30 Onderdonk Avenue, Manhasset NY 11030. All are invited, free of charge.
The speaker will be Don Riepe, presenting "Jamaica Bay" After years as Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Parks Manager, Don is now acting Director of the Northeast Chapter of the American Littoral Society. Come join us as Don takes us through the seasons of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. Through his photographs, he will introduce us to the regular birds, shorebirds, and migrants that visit this area. In addition, he will describe ongoing bird walks, nature walks, and sunset cruise trips that are offered, guided by a naturalist.
