Hi All,
Had a nice day at Pelham Bay Park, where I spent the whole day in the Turtle
Cove section. The RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS continue in the same area of Turtle
Cove with 3 in total being seen this morning. In the Spartina at the tip of the
marshy peninsula south of Turtle Cove and City Island Road, I had at least 1,
maybe 2 NELSON'S SPARROWS. Scanning Eastchester Bay from that peninsula, I was
surprised to find 2 SURF SCOTERS and 4 BLACK SCOTERS. Also had an unseen COMMON
RAVEN calling from the direction of Co-Op City and the landfill.
