There is currently a Red-necked Grebe underneath the bridge that leads to Smith
Point. The bird can be well hidden at times but occasionally drifts toward the
east providing excellent, site accessible views.

I saw the Red-necked Grebe today (between 1PM and 2PM) swimming (alone) on the
same lake (near the bridge) close to the path that goes from the southern to
the northern part of the park, walking through the Old Putnam trail. This is a
picture of the bird.

Hi all,
RAZORBILLS continue off Rye, Westchester County. Bob Shriber and I had a good
number this morning (~7, but probably more present), with many sitting on the
water. Conditions on the Sound were very calm, allowing us to also pick out a
RED-NECKED GREBE relatively far offshore. Lighting

The Red-necked Grebe found yesterday by Karen Rubenstein continues at the
end of Albert's Landing Road. The bird was close in mixing with Common Loons
and Scoters. Best views were to the right of the weir.
Good Birding,

Found a Red-necked Grebe in the marsh opposite bench 6 on the west
pond. When I left it was swimming west. Took some photos through my
blackberry I'll try to post later.
Sorry Doug, the emails I sent got kicked back to me.

I ran into Steve Nanz at Floyd Bennett Field this morning. He was
leading a trip for the BBC and told me that they spotted a Red-necked
Grebe earlier in the morning. They were at Plum Beach and the grebe
was on the bay traveling towards Sheepshead Bay. I headed back on my
