Today at about 10 AM, I went over to the fields first to Sound/
Osborne,while there were only a few birds, I did see the Bairds with several
Killdeer, which flew off to the west as I watched. No Golden plovers.
Then I went to sod field East of Roanoke Vinyard, orignally saw nothing,

If anyone is still interested, 2 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS continue on the sod
field just E of the Roanoak Vinyard on the S side of Sound Avenue.
Unfortunately there is a lot of heat shimmer over the field today.

On the field on the east side of Doctors Path just south of Sound Avenue at
11:30 am there were 15 Buff-breasted Sandpipers. In the nearby field on the
west side of County Route 105 just south of Sound at 10:55 am there were 21
American Golden-Plovers which moved on when they were spooked by a b
At least 97 American Golden Plovers are now being seen at the field along
Doctor's Path between Northville Tpke. and Sound Av. across from the Doctor's
Path Apartments. Also 2-3 Buff-breasted Sandpipers here, and 6 observers.

A quick survey, of most of the above, came up empty, however, I did pick up a
Lesser Yellowlegs, 2 Solitary Sandpipers and 2 Least Sandpipers, while managing
to miss the normally plentiful Kildeer! All 3 species mentioned were found at a
wet area on Penny La. in Northville.

Thanks to Eileen Schwinn I saw my FOS A. Golden Plover today! She called
earlier re: the 1 golden she found ( which grew to 3 before I left) in the sod
field on the n/s of Northville Tpke, between Route 105 & Doctors Path-this is
directly opposite an "old potato barn",which has had the dirt insu
