Peter, Cool bird - this looks like a Le Conte's Sparrow to me, with a relatively bland tan-orange face with two dark auricular marks, a pale median crown stripe, and fine, dark flank streaking. I'm sure there will be some more interest in this bird. Good birding, Tom On Sun, Oct 9, 2011 at 8:32
