Without diving into it too far, I disagree with Paul's suggestion that
this is "certainly a Grasshopper Sparrow." Granted, the subject bird
doesn't look like your average field guide adult Le Conte's Sparrow;
however, birds of this species that are only a few months old are
pretty

Cool bird - this looks like a Le Conte's Sparrow to me, with a
relatively bland tan-orange face with two dark auricular marks, a pale
median crown stripe, and fine, dark flank streaking.
I'm sure there will be some more interest in this bird.

I found an Ammodramus Sparrow today in Red Hook, Dutchess Co. I would
love some input on it's ID.
