[nysbirds-l] Sunken Meadow SP/ David Weld Sanctuary, Suffolk County- Vesper Sparrow

A quick walk through Sunken Meadow State Park yesterday morning produced my FoS male Purple Finch along with a few females, all of which were munching on hawthorn berries.  Sharp-shinned andRed-tailed Hawks and a Merlin were the only raptors seen.  A House Wren was also seeking shelter  against
