I think many folks did a "Big Day," yesterday - whether it was to raise
funds, compete or just have fun. Claire Borrelli and I had our annual
Central Park-only Big Day and it's prompted me to say thank you to so many
of you who are reading this. We hit 72 species, which was our one-day
record

Just wanted to say thank you to the list and the people that my family met
in southern NY while we were looking to get Cassin's Kingbird and the
Common Ground-Dove. My 7 year old was able to get two life birds. The
Kingbird and the Marbled Godwit for birds 269 and 270 on his little big

Saturday off the Meadowbrook Parkway. (regarding Scott's post, I also
considered female common grackles at one point) It's definitely been a
good lesson on Icterids.
