12/20/13, Friday
Pat Pollock

Sorry this is so late, but not having text or other instant technology, I had
to get to the library, but happy to report the Varied Thrush was spotted by
Ryan's mother, Karen, and quite a few others including Ryan, Gina, me, Mike,
Joanne Wassmer, Kathy the photographer, and a few others who stayed despite no
encouragement, @ about 1:15-1:50 it was seen in same area as my previous visit,
12/18/13, the enclosure westside of Oval, bldg. #11 opposite the Xmas tree &
Menorah, in the left corner near the all glass library.  It was in dense low
bushes and people who had come & gone earlier, including Anne S., did not find
it.  Before Karen's sighting, Mike had a fleeting glimpse of some orange/black
bird that did not seem to be a Robin.
Ryan was so happy because he'd had bad luck previously with this bird.
