There are several people here at the Marshland's Conservancy in Rye searching
for the previously seen Virginia's Warbler. There have been no sightings today,
but the potential habitat is vast and the bird was very elusive.

Eric Miller reports that he did not see the Virginia's Warbler this
morning at Alley Pond Park.
As a consolation he did have a flock of about 20 Crossbills that
consisted of White-winged and probable Red Crossbills (viewed in poor
light). Also noted were a flock of Pine Siskins.

My wife Samantha and I missed the Virginia's Warbler by minutes today and on
the 20th, followed by hours of walking around and waiting. The consolation
prize today for all of us birders at Alley Pond Park was a NORTHERN SAW-WHET
